7) Good Product, So-so Shipping
The title pretty much says it all.
The band is wonderful.
It's not that the shipping was super slow or anything.
But the band was shipped in a regular envelope, causing the band to have a few bends in it. I figured they would go away after a day or two, but it's been a few weeks, and they're still there. Maybe only mine was funky. I dunno. Just something to think about.

PS-I'm over 13, just don't want my name on the web.

6) Lost in the mail
The wristband was misdirected as the seller left off a critical part of the address i have on file at Amazon. They were nice enough to send me another wristband. The original wristband was eventually delivered. So now I have 2.
The wristband is as pictured. Bright, not flimsy, and with a powerful message.I had been led to believe that they fit 'close' from one of the reviews on Amazon. I found the adult one was quite big. Too big/loose for me really. It's better sized for a man's wrist than that of a 140(-ish) pound woman.

More than 10 million Americans are currently living with, through or beyond cancer, and you support each and every one of them of them by wearing a LIVESTRONG Wristband. The Lance Armstrong Foundation (LAF) empowers people affected by cancer. Since its inception in 1997, the Foundation has raised more than $250 million to support its mission to inspire and empower people affected by cancer.

Years ago I read a book that began: "I want to die at a hundred years old with an American flag on my back and the star of Texas on my helmet, after screaming down an Alpine descent on a bicycle at 75 miles per hour." When I first read those amazing words, I found the book impossible to put down.

The book was Lance Armstrong's It's Not About the Bike: My Journey Back to Life, and if you read it you'll see what was the motivation behind the Lance Armstrong Foundation, which provides support for people affected by cancer. And yes, I'm one of those who wears a yellow LIVESTRONG wristband on a daily basis in support of his efforts.

You might also want to read Live Strong: Inspirational Stories from Cancer Survivors-from Diagnosis to Treatment and Beyond, a collection of twenty-six stories told by people who have been diagnosed with serious forms of cancer. Read about their hope, and how they develop the inner strength to continue their lives with the drastic changes that cancer forces upon them.

You can read more at livestrong.org, including getting free support material and finding ways that you can support the millions of cancer survivors worldwide. The LAF has provided financial resources to more than 550 organizations that conduct cancer survivorship research or offer services to people affected by cancer, and 80 cents of every dollar donated to the LAF has supported their cancer survivorship programs and initiatives to make cancer a national priority. 4) To small
I am a big fan of Lance Armstrong and I bought my first Livestrong wristband years ago, but this one is smaller.The first one I bought at Macys was made in Taiwan, this was about three or four years ago and the one i bought from Amazon was made in China. I have large wrist ,if you have small wrist then buy this one it is a little to small for me. The shiping cost is only 1.95.

3) For a Good Cause
Lance Armstrong achieved his victory against metastatic cancer with 3 years of powerful treatment and daily hard work. To help support other cancer victims, he created the yellow Livestrong wristband.

With help from Nike, the bracelet was launched in 2004 and became an instant, worldwide success. Money from bracelet sales went to fund cancer research - and almost 60 million bracelets have been sold so far. Considering that the National Cancer Institute's total yearly budget is $4 billion, it is extremely impressive that a single push from a single individual could bring in so much funding.

I'm not sure what the previous reviewer did differently - maybe he had other items in his cart? When I placed my order, it sourced the bralcelet from eGeneral Medical supplier with $5.50 shipping and handling. I really doubt you could get ANY internet retailer to manage to pay his shipping costs, packaging costs, employee salaries and healthcare costs and only charge you under $1 for shipping fees. Is $5.50 too high? It could probably cost me over that in gas to drive out to a store that carries the bracelet and drive it home again.
