The "leather" is very smooth to the skin, feels comfy and is easy to clean. You can adjust the chair to several comfortable positions. If I would buy the massage chair again? DEFINITELY YES. The head ring did not go low enough or the seat did not go high enough. She found herself stretching to much to plant her face in comfortable position. If your six foot plus I'm sure you will give this a five star but and 5'4" you will give it a 1, unless you want to over stretch your body when getting a massage. This is the first I've encountered that has a bar running between the clients' knees. There are not enough variables in positions for the chair, in my opinion.
